What is From Enhancing Motor Skills to Self-Actualization ?

Every week for 12 weeks, specialists from Europe, the UK and the USA will share their experience and knowledge of the various applications of the Feldenkrais Method and its transformative learning strategies. Don't miss it !
Event Overview: We’ll begin by introducing the program, speakers, and themes for the next 12 weeks. You’ll also get a sneak peek at upcoming field documentaries with short excerpts.
Enhancing Motor Skills with Nicola Zollinger: Nicola Zollinger will deliver a compelling presentation on the effects of the Feldenkrais Method on motor functions: Mobility and Balance, Posture, Hand Dexterity, Breathing & Muscle Tone. Drawing from a scoping literature review of 42 publications, Nicola will highlight key findings—what the research reveals, the mechanisms through which the Feldenkrais Method improves motor functioning, and the steps that lie ahead for further exploration in this area.
Self-Actualization through self-knowledge with Alan Questel: While many aspects of learning can be analyzed objectively, some dimensions— self-awareness and self-knowledge—are more challenging to quantify through traditional research methods. In his talk, Alan will explore questions such as : What does it mean to self-actualize ? To know oneself ? How do we uncover what we truly want ? How can we discover aspects of ourselves that remain hidden ? And why is movement a useful tool in this process ?
Closing Documentary: To wrap up, we’ll show a short film featuring professional Feldenkrais students reflecting on how their four-year training shaped their personal growth and self-awareness.
