Mourad Bouayad
Mourad Bouayad is a Parisian dancer, choreographer, and actor.
Coming from a hip-hop background, he finds in contemporary dance a space of freedom where he pushes the aesthetic boundaries of movement.
A graduate of the CNDC in Angers, he joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2017 under the direction of Ohad Naharin, deepened his study of the Gaga method, and became one of the few artists to
teach it in France, notably at the Paris Opera.
In 2020, he created Enhanced and For The Hungry Boy, presented at Le Centquatre and the Institut du Monde Arabe. He collaborates with Japanese pianist and composer Koki Nakano and choreographed the film Port de Bras. In 2024, he presents My Way at the Théâtre National de Chaillot with Edmond Baudoin and choreographs À l’Unisson as part of the Cultural Olympiad of the Paris 2024 Games.
