What is Week-end Gaga Dancers ?

Join the fascinating world of Gaga with Chen-Wei Lee, an award-winning dancer and choreographer, in a class that promises to transform your understanding of movement. With her experience in the Batsheva Dance Company and collaborations with renowned figures such as Ohad Naharin, Chen-Wei guides you through an exploration of the Gaga language, where every movement is a discovery, and every sensation is a journey. Gaga/dancers deepens dancers’ awareness of physical sensations, expands their palette of available movement options, enhances their ability to modulate their energy and engage their explosive power, and enriches their movement quality with a wide range of textures. The classes are built on the same principles as Gaga/people classes but also employ the specific vocabulary and skills that are part and parcel of a dancer’s knowledge.

Chen-Wei Lee is a Brussels based Taiwanese artist.She is a choreographer, freelance dancer and Gaga teacher, and the holder of the 24th TECO Award for the art of dance. She began her career as a dancer with Batsheva Dance Company in 2009-2014, and as a guest dancer at GothenborgsOperas Danskompani in 2015-16, Tanztheater WuppertalPina Bausch in 2017, VOETVOLK in 2017~present, Peeping Tom dance theater in2020-2022, Baro d’Evel in 2023-2025.As a choreographer, she found the artistic duo company LEE\VAKULYA with ZoltanVakulya(Hungary) base in Brussels, they have been dedicated to slowly crystallizing their very own approach to movement, which comes together from...
